Turn your Yoto Player onto its front - and be careful only to do this on a friendly surface like a bedside table, not the floor! - this will turn on the nightlight. To turn the nightlight off, just stand Yoto Player upright again. One of the noticeable differences on the new 3rd generation Yoto player is the longer battery life. The old version only had a battery life of 10 hours, whereas the new version is over double that, at 24 hours. This makes the 3rd generation a much better choice if you’re planning to do very long journeys. Better sound quality Not only because of the content you can get for it, and the fact I think the Tonies figures will get a little young as kids get bigger, but also the free Yoto content you get with the radio and podcast. They’re so engaging!

Yoto Player (3rd generation) is a fantastic storytelling toy for kids with great improvements made to the sound quality, storage space and features.
The all-new Yoto Player has some great new features – particularly the greater storage and longer battery life for easier use at home and on the go for kids. How long does the battery last? Kids can enjoy up to 24 hours of play on a single charge. That’s a lot of listening! A fun intro to common words in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian with accompanying images. Yoto Player and Yoto Mini are not suitable for children under three years of age as they contain small parts, which could present a choking hazard and a long cord which is a strangulation risk.The sound quality on the new version of the Yoto player is also noticeably better, being less tinny and significantly richer at the same volume than the old version. Charger Yoto Player is suitable for kids aged 3+. Our Card Store has 1,000+ titles for kids from birth to 12+ so there’s always something new to explore as kids learn and grow. There are a few additional features on the new Yoto as compared to the old, including a toothbrushing timer and a room thermometer. We don’t think we’ll use these much but they might be handy for some families! The new version of the Yoto also has slightly more storage capacity, at 32GB, but I doubt many families would need so much storage. Price the Yoto Player is suitable for use by anyone aged 3+. However there is content available that’s great for younger kids too. The player itself shouldn’t be handled by babies or kids under 3, however I would definitely say those kids will love the stories, such as Disney classics. Parental control over the Yoto Player via the Yoto App – set limits, shut it off completely, turn down volume etc And Yoto Mini has up to 16GB of storage, while Yoto Player has double that with 32GB of space for your child to listen to their favourite stories on the go. In terms of aesthetics, the Yoto maintains its previous sizing, with a few design enhancements. Notably, an exterior bumper has been added to enhance screen protection. The power button has also been re-positioned for improved accessibility, ensuring that little hands can operate it easier. Two of the features that have impressed me the most are the free daily audio content you get through Yoto.Yoto is a UK brand that make screen-free audio players for children, designed with Montessori principles in mind. The players work by inserting cards, each of which plays a different audiobook, podcast or music album, into a small slot on the top of the player. It’s really easy for kids to switch what they’re listening to by taking out and putting in different cards.
