This is free download Talking with Psychopaths and Savages: A Journey into the Evil Mind by Christopher Berry-Dee complete book soft copy. If it reveals a mindset wholly alien to most people, it also, shockingly, demonstrates that some of the people who treat these psychopaths have their own demons.

Krótko mówiąc - pan kryminolog nawiązuje kontakty z przestępcami, aby wykorzystać ich listy (czyli, pośrednio, zbrodnie, których dokonali) i napisać książkę o swojej przebiegłości i wyższości intelektualnej nad psychopatami/policjantami/psychiatrami/sędziami/etc. It’s a really intriguing look into the minds of terrible people, and the way in which the author manipulates the manipulators is very clever. I have to admit I knew he would have some different point of views compared to me and went for the challenge. The guy's clearly written a lot of books (if they're anywhere near as bad as this one I have no idea how he's the "no.

He repeatedly alluded to his “restricted word count” in this novel, and constantly referred to the vast number of serial killers and psychopaths he has interviewed over the years. I have no idea how this was published when this is clearly a first or second draft - glaring grammatical mistakes are more abundant in this book's pages than any book I've ever read. There are so many amazing true crime books out there, do not waste your time and money on this narcissist. The reader is bombarded with this constant self-promotion from the pompous, pretentious author and is left feeling EXHAUSTED. This time, however, he combines sections on killers whom he has known, interviewed or corresponded with, with studies of psychopathic serial killers from the past, including Peter Kürten, the ‘Düsseldorf Monster’, John Christie, responsible for the killings at 10 Rillington Place; and Neville Heath, a ladykiller in every sense of the word.

I literally woke up this morning knowing I was going to do nothing productive today other than leave the review this book (and man) deserves. To add to his egotistical ways, Berry-Dee constantly advertises previous books he has written and all I can say is that I’d rather stick pins in my eyes than ever read one of those. The author plugs his other work throughout, there are unreferenced anecdotes galore and the author seems to think the reader is going to be interested in his off the cuff, flippant opinions on the included case studies.Christopher excuses his pages of rambling with "but as my loyal readers should know, I digress a lot.

Unfortunately, the only insight I really gained was into how the author regards himself since he talks about himself constantly, about how other people feel about him, and his relationships with notorious criminals, or celebrated figures in psychology or criminology. The subject matter itself is quite interesting, but unfortunately, the lack of editing and the overabundance of self-promo quite rightly ruined this book for me. Indeed, I feel I have learnt more about how Berry-Dee manipulates people, than I have about the mindset of the killers. I can't deny that much of the time, murderous, violent people may have some kind of mental illness in their history. On to chapters titled with a killers name I finally think I am getting to the point of the book, yet the writing includes many other killers quotes and isn't solely about the killer who the chapter was named after.

I'd recommend heading to Wikipedia and saving yourself the time and cost of trawling through 290 pages of dross. I sincerely hope Christopher (we're on a first-name basis now - I've lost quite a lot of respect for the author while reading this) was just channelling his inner Yoda on page 218 when he said: "But murder the defenceless Travis she most certainly did.Bestselling author Christopher Berry-Dee is back with a companion volume that delves even deeper into the savage world of psychopaths and their hideous crimes. This is a selection of case studies - most details of which can be found on Wikipedia - linked together with the author's self-agrandising narrative. This is not a book for the squeamish, but it is undeniably fascinating in its portrayal of just what one human being will do to others – while all too often moving among us unnoticed and unhindered. This book is laced with an arrogant tone throughout which honestly makes me more uncomfortable than the actual descriptions of the crimes committed. The author brags about his interactions with serial killers and other criminal psychologists, putting himself on a pedestal while expressing a condescending to the readers and those who may wish to get into his line of work.
