These are just a few of the things that keep me from transitioning to mirrorless or something smaller.
It alone has accounted for over 30,000 of my personal images along the way, and I am keen on it continuing to serve me into the foreseeable future! It shows the status of various shooting settings, including the shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and active focus point when not in Live View mode. At distance with too many competing AF targets (branches/leaves) — even with excellent light — images lack focus or appear to have shallow depth of field. We haven't yet tested the newer D5300, but we feel that the D5200 exceeds the D3300 thanks to an articulating rear display and a more advanced autofocus system. The D3300 is compatible with Nikon's complete collection of legendary NIKKOR lenses and optimized for AF-S DX-format NIKKOR lenses.The D3300 is the first to ship with this particular zoom; it's got the same focal length range as previous kit zooms from Nikon, but it has a collapsible design that makes it a bit more compact when not in use. The older generation digital cameras I sold off to pay for the D3300 kit and second lens, were much more fiddly. It's geared towards photographic neophytes, and its Guide setting is a good way for folks who don't have the desire to learn the ins and outs of camera jargon to capture life's moments in high quality.

The auto-selected slowest shutter speed isn't smart enough to set itself differently based on whether or not you have VR on or off. The iPhone 15 Pro Max stretches into new telephoto territory with its tetraprism design and 5x (120mm equivalent) reach. The lens performs well here, notching 2,603 lines with edges that hit 2,500 lines; stopping down to f/8 bumps the score to 2,974 lines with even sharpness across the frame. NOTE: These images are best quality JPEGs straight out of the camera, at default settings including noise reduction and using the camera's actual base ISO (not extended ISO settings). I just stick it on the camera, put the camera in this cover, and then pop it into my purse or carry-on.The benefit of the 60fps maximum frame rate is apparent; motion is smooth, and the rolling shutter effect, which can cause a jelly-like video effect when recording fast action, is only evident in very fast pans.
Even though the new optic includes four-stop vibration reduction capability and a silent wave autofocus motor, the collapsing design allows it to shrink its size to be much smaller than its predecessor. Without a tripod and a fixed-in-place taxidermy bird this camera (or kit zoom lens) is not up to the task. I was concerned that the camera had a defect but so far I haven't seen a repeat of either phenomena, and that was nearly a year ago.
